Today, Nifty opened 12,399 which was just a few points away from the all-time high, but just after a few minutes, it achieved the all-time high milestone. Over the weekend, Joe Biden has won the USA presidential election and defeated Donald Trump. We never knew that it might take the market to new highs. The whole day Nifty stayed positive and made a high of 12474.05 and got closed at 12469.20
The Indian Investors has taken the victory of Joe Biden as a positive sentiment and has pushed the markets to a new high, at least for the short term. Nifty moved up 205.65 points whereas Sensex moved up 704.37. The top 5 gainers of the market are Divis Lab, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank. The Bank Nifty was also 735.15 points up and closed at 27534.10.
The vote counting of Bihar is scheduled for tomorrow. The picture is still unclear also after the exit polls data. Let’s wait and watch how the story takes ahead. The stimulus hope is also an important factor that is taking the markets to a new high.
